Coordinating organization

Anthropolis Antropológiai Közhasznú Egyesület was founded in 2002 as a public benefit non-profit association based in Budapest, Hungary. The organization intends to promote the values of cultural relativism, participatory approach, citizens' empowerment, and awareness of global issues. In order to introduce the global perspective in institutional education and strike up social discourse, Anthropolis has created media and awareness-raising campaigns, educational programs and materials, and documentaries focused on the topics of global learning, cultural heritage of minorities, fair trade, migration, gender equality, and contemporary slavery.

Global Learning (developing and distributing educational materials, organizing workshops and courses for both students and teachers) and Digital storytelling (DST) are the main working areas of Anthropolis. We are one of the main and most active promoters of global learning in Hungary.

Anthropolis has been working in the field of education (both formal and non-formal) since 2004. During these years we have built an extensive network of schools and teachers to whom we deliver workshops, promote our activity, and involve teachers and educators from all levels of education.

What is ADR?

ADR stands for Alternative Dispute Resolution. It's a collective term for methods of resolving disputes outside of traditional legal avenues like litigation. ADR methods include arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and conciliation. These approaches are often preferred because they can be quicker, less expensive, and more flexible than going to court. They also offer parties more control over the outcome and can sometimes preserve relationships better than adversarial processes.

What to bring

Man with Traveling Bag

We always suggest checking the weather forecast before coming, however, we suggest a few things that can be very handy:

  • your bottle to fill it with water
  • indoor shoes, so we can keep the training room as clean as possible
  • Outdoor clothes and shoes, the place has great natural surroundings and you probably want to walk a bit around, it can be muddy outside if it rains, so it's better to have suitable clothes for the occasion.
  • mosquitos repellent
  • sun cream, if we do some activities outside it can be very sunny and hot, so better be ready.
  • board games if you like to play
  • musical instruments, if you play some, would be nice in the evening outside around a fireplace

Health Insurance

Anthropolis Association is not responsible for your health insurance, if you are a European citizen, for sure you can use the European Healthy Card, but if not in case we recommend using Health Insurance, you can put it in the budget of your travel.

Diversity celebration

Hey everyone! We're all about celebrating our differences and unique quirks, so this time, we're doing something a little different. We invite you to bring something that represents YOU to our gathering. It could be anything – maybe your favorite food or drink that you enjoy every day, or perhaps it's a special object that you've made or that means a lot to you. We're also big fans of creativity, so feel free to get crafty if you want! But hey, if you don't have anything to bring, don't worry about it. You being here is more than enough to make our celebration special. Let's come together and share our stories, our passions, and our little pieces of ourselves in a fun and creative way. Can't wait to see what you all bring to the table!
